Dear devotee friends,
Previous year (2017) Bhagvad gita havan was performed
within the budget of Rs.22000, including the cost of
silver coins given to the donors of Rs. 1000 and above,
There was over subscription of Rs. 3993 (say 4000)
and advance money totalling Rs. 10000 from my brother, sister
and a nephew.
All the advance money donors have consented to
utilise this money for further puja and other activities.
Some committee members asked me to conduct the
yagya (havan) next year also.
Accordingly, with further amount of approximately
Rs. 5000 from my side the yagya is planned to be
conducted in next year also, without further public
donation
So, the amount on hand Rs.14000 had been
parked in Fixed deposit @6.75% interest
for 11 months. So it will mature by 6.08.2018 well
before the Sunday following next janmashtami.
Incidentally janmastami 2018 is falling on a Sunday.
We will have yagya the following FRIDAY as sunday happens to be Amavasya day.
During Amavasya day puja should not be performed before that day's tharpanam.
SO Friday had been seleted for havan.
The calculated interest is Rs.886, at least that may
provide for escalated expenses of next year.
As we have learnt the area where we can save
by the previous yagya it will be possible to
conduct the yagya this year(2018) at budget of Rs. 19000
Three pure silver coins (5gm each, costing Rs.220 each)
to be distributed to donors bro,sis and nephew is
with me, could not be delivered in person due to
cancellation of my trip to Bangalore and they also
hinted me not to send by post at extra cost.
So that will be delivered to them at appropriate occasion.
There was a valid query from receivers of silver coin.
I would like to mention that they can keep it as a memento
or as it is being pure silver, can be used for ornaments like
leg finger rings, (metti) or with addional another 5gm silver
one can make a chandan-bowl ( bowl for keeping sandal paste)
Accounts had been updated with purchase of FD and
can be viewed in web link: www.bnvenkat.com/havan
Requrest your blessings
B N Venkataraman
